Om Swastiastu ᬒᬁ

I first began a self-taught yoga practice at home for the physical benefits. After several years, I decided to expand my knowledge to the other aspects of yoga, including asana, breath control and meditation, to deepen my personal practice, as well as teach others. I studied the true yogic lifestyle and the 8 limbs of yoga through the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course offered at Peachtree Yoga in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A, earning my certification in 2018.

I went on to teach private sessions, community lessons, and studio classes. I then sought to further deepen my knowledge and practice from those who live and thrive in the culture of yoga. I left Atlanta in December of 2018, and traveled to the birthplace of yoga, in Rishikesh, India. I was taught by gurus and masters on following the yogic path to attain inner peace.

I now hold my Yoga Alliance E-500 hour RYT trainer certificate in Vinyasa. In 2019, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime. Before writing my own trainings, retreats and workshops, I spent nearly a year training students in Bali, to become yoga teachers themselves, as a Vinyasa, Shatkarma and Pranayama instructor. I am experienced in teaching all levels and have taught countless students in teacher training programs and retreats. My students enjoy my creative and unique style, personality, compassion, and energy, in as well as out of class.

I believe in living life based on the authentic yogic philosophies. This not only includes the physical practice, but the spiritual and ethical ones as well. My goal is to educate everybody on yogic culture by removing any myths and stereotypes associated with the practice. I aim to spread my passion for yoga to all who wish to learn, showing them how accessible and practical yoga can be, regardless of age, gender, religion or body type. I am hopeful that one day I will return to Bali and teach in Ubud again. I am excited to share the culture, lifestyle and traditions of the local community. Yoga practitioners have a responsibility to make yoga accessible, equitable and inclusive.

2023

After Covid, shook our lives, I moved to Norfolk, Virginia, USA. I am excited to continue sharing my passion with teachers and students in America and abroad via a virtual platform. I look forward to sharing the culture, lifestyle and traditions of my experiences. At present, I am currently working on my Yoga Therapy Certification with the Mohans at Svastha Yoga Therapy.
